My Future

The cheque arrived by private courier who wore a greatcoat of fine-spun silver and bent so low from the waist I worried he might not stand back up but he stood me a stout and more in a pub of some repute just up from where I sit with a quill and write missives that will come to you by way of the silvery man who delivered my future in a spackled envelope made by hand in Amalfi.
